Having spent most of my life in the corporate world, like so many of you, I've grown to hate committee meetings, but I've got one coming up in just two hours that I can't wait to get to! It's the wrap-up meeting for last week's Gala Event.
The Gala Event raised close to $120,000 to help so many different needs of the Friendship Centers' activity in support of the community. The spirit of the evening was remarkable, right down to Cliff Roles, the photographic legend of Sarasota, who captured the images below.
The evening was top shelf all the way from the food, thanks to the magic touch of Chef Paul Mattison, to Rabbi Katz's invocation, Mike and Dawn Bear's welcome as this year's chair-couple, the silent auction, the entertainment and mostly to all of you who attended. You brought with you an amazing spirit of support and sense of community.
A big thanks to so many people who made this year's program a success. As Marty Katz has repeatedly quoted, "It takes a village!"
I had some fun pulling a few images from Cliff's Facebook page, but you'll find the whole collection of the evening just a click away.
