The Caregivers Resource Center was our families introduction to the Friendship Centers. Though so many of the challenges with my mother's Alzheimer's the Thursday Support Group helped us stay focused on the love we all had for each other, rather than over-focusing on the frustrations of the horrible disease.
There's so much going on at both the Sarasota and Venice campuses in the Caregivers Resource Centers. If you need help, it's so important to remember you're not alone. Remember, you can't help your loved ones if you're not taking care of yourself first.
Feeling overwhelmed and in need of a single place to get local information about caregiving services and support?
Open to all caregivers without charge, the Caregiver Resource Centers provide educational programs, compassionate support, and access to a wealth of information of special interest to anyone caring for a loved one.
Computers provide easy access to online assistance and a staff of caring, experienced volunteers on-hand provide assistance Monday through Friday.
See our "Caregivers" page for upcoming programs and support groups.
