DISCOVER THE WILD SIDE OF FLORIDA June 22-27, (Program #17355) is an inter-generational adventure intended for grandparents and grandchildren 9 - 12 years of age. (Grandchildren must be accompanied by at least one grandparent.)
Get in touch with nature as you forge new bonds with your grandchild amid the wilds of Sarasota and offshore islands. With a collection of naturalists, adventure guides and conservationists, comb the beaches for seashells and sea turtle nest sites, explore the rich archaeology and paleontology, and unique habitats and rare species of the only tropical zone in the continental United States.
• Discover wild Florida as you search for alligators aboard an airboat or raptors on a rainforest canopy walk.
• Uncover historic artifacts and fossils in shallow water with an adventure guide naturalist.
