It's that time of year when the Friendship Centers does their annual year end appeal. Over the last year I've had a chance to work with and get to know so many of the staff and volunteers at the Friendship Centers.
It's an amazing group. In addition to the core staff, there are 1100 volunteers all giving back. This group of dedicated individuals have been responsible for getting 250,000 meals to seniors in the area; supporting over 15,000 visits by area residents to Health Services and instrumental in over half a million "units" of help through all the programs and services offered in each community they support.
In this new podcast of "Ten Minutes of Friendship" I had a chance to talk with Erin McLeod, Senior Vice-President of the Friendship Centers about how the money raised is spent in support of the community. It's a remarkable group with 95% of the money donated, going back into support!
Take a few minutes and hear about how each dollar donated helps support all of the various programs. Then, I hope you'll click on the banner up top to donate. Here's your chance to help the Friendship Centers keep doing what they do so well...
