The Friendship Centers is pleased to announce the inaugural “People Helping People” awards breakfast on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 8:30 am at Michael’s on East in Sarasota.
This special event will honor champions in our community who are doing so much to benefit older adults. The honorees exemplify “People Helping People,” the principle on which Brother William Geenen founded the Friendship Centers more than 40 years ago.
"There are so many wonderful people in this community who are doing good for older adults," said Senior Vice President Erin McLeod. "We felt the time was right to recognize and honor them for the heroes they are. Each of this year's recipients has made a significant contribution to the Friendship Centers over the years in support of our mission."
