Every now and then there's a moment that simply redefines the meaning of the word "pride". Monday night my wife and I were just trying to figure out dinner plans and the channel 7 news was on in the background.
Well, there were two of my favorite people on the news, Friendship Center CEO Bob Carter and VP, Erin McLeod. They were part of a story by Channel 7 reporter Alix Redmonde on new Alzheimer's tests. For the complete story here's the link.
Alzheimer's is a horrible disease and it's almost impossible to find anybody today who's life it hasn't touched in some way. The Walk to End Alzheimer's for Sarasota County is October 11. Here's the link to register and access to all the information on how you can pull a fund-raising team together and be a part of a wonderful event.
If you're not in the Sarasota area, Google "Walk to End Alzheimer's 2014" and you should be able to find information on events for your area.
